A journey to witness a number of species like Wooly Hare, Red Fox, Blue Sheep, Ibex, Tibetan Wolf, Golden Eagle and the highlight of the tour, “The Ghost Of The Mountains”, the Snow Leopard.

  1. Day 1 Leh

    Arrive at Leh by flight. Transfer to hotel. Rest and acclimatization for the whole day. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

  2. Day 2 Leh-Khardung La-Leh

    Today, post breakfast, leave for Khardung La. This is the highest motor-able road in the world. Spend some time at the top and return back to Leh. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

  3. Day 3 Leh-Pangong-Leh

    Leave for Pangong early in the morning. Today we pass the Chang – La which is at an altitude of 17,350ft. It is the third highest motor-able road in the world. Enjoy the snow-capped mountains en-route. Spend time at the frozen Pangong lake and return to Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

  4. Day 4 Leh-Camp Site

    Today we start our journey in search of the snow leopard. A one hour journey by road and a 45 minutes hike up the hill gets you to the campsite, which will be your home for the next few days. Stay in tented camps. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

  5. Day 5 Camp Site

    Post early breakfast, spend the entire day in wildlife viewing with the local guides. Enjoy the thrilling experience of tracking down a snow leopard in the wild. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

  6. Day 6 Camp Site

    Wake up to a new beginning in search of this ghost of the Himalayas. Hike up the mountains can bring in some luck. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

  7. Day 7 Camp Site

    Today again we spend the entire day in wildlife viewing with the help of local guides. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the campsite.

  8. Day 8 Home Stay

    Today, post breakfast, get ready for a 3 – 4 hrs hike to a different part of this region which is famous for sighting of Lynx. Lynx is a medium-sized mammal from the wild cat family. Spend the whole day in search of the Lynx with the help of local guides. Lunch, dinner and overnight at home stay.

  9. Day 9 Home Stay

    Post breakfast, full day wildlife viewing in the different areas in search of the Lynx. Lunch, dinner and overnight at home stay.

  10. Day 10 Leh

    Today post breakfast, start to descend and thereafter leave for Leh by car. Evening at leisure in Leh. Visit the Shanti Stupa and spend time in the Leh market. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Leh hotel.

  11. Day 11 Leh

    Post breakfast, drop to the airport. Board the respective flights.

Decorated with colorful traditional Ladakhi woodwork, Zasgyath presents amazing views of the Stok Kangri mountain range while the fantastic terrace offers the opportunity for al fresco dining when the weather permits. The multi-cuisine menu features favorites from around the world and changes with the seasons.

For the latter half of our expedition accommodation is provided at staggering and exquisite locations, basic stay is provided at the campsite in the form of tents. Sleeping bags and mattresses are provided along. The campsite also has one dining tent, with facilities of a heater and charging facility for recharging electronic gadgets. You will also have an opportunity to experience the hospitality of the locals, as at some places accommodation is provided in the form of a home stay with all basic facilities.

  1. What to expect on the expedition? 

    As the name suggests, the main intention of the expedition is about tracking the Snow Leopard. With this you will also be able to see some endemic animals like Bharal (Blue Sheep), Urial, Himalayan Tahr, Red fox, and birds like the Lammergeier, Golden eagle, Himalayan Griffon, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Snow Partridge, Tibetian Snow Cock etc.

  2. How is the climate? 

    The expedition can only be done during the winters during which the temperatures here are extreme. One must be ready to live in tented campsites at -20 to -30 degrees Celsius. We will give you a detailed list of things to be carried before the expedition.

  3. Does this tour demand any specific fitness level? 

    Good fitness level are a must for this expedition as most of the expedition is carried out on foot. Due to the difference in altitude one needs to have good endurance and stamina to successfully complete the expedition.

  4. What is the usual sharing for accommodation? 

    This trip will have you stay in hotels as well as tents. During hotel stays the accommodation will be always on double sharing basis, unless otherwise opted for. The stay in tents though will be on sharing basis with 4 persons in one tent.

  5. Is it safe? 

    All expeditions conducted by us follow highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps.

  6. Is internet and network connectivity availaible? 

    Connectivity will only be available during our stay in Leh. Postpaid cards of Airtel and BSNL work here. Once at the campsite, there will be no network connectivity.
