All about the Kanha.

The Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh is indeed attractive and with its affluent biodiversity, astonishes you at each glance!! Kanha has been a habitat for diverse individuals of every trophic level. Lush sal and bamboo forests are spread with vast grassy meadows, while the Banjaar River, which forms the park’s south-western border, provides a stable water source for the profuse wildlife. These huge grasslands and dense forests collectively make the best living place for many insects, reptiles, animals and birds.

This is one of the best territories in the country for the King Beast, The Tiger! With tall trees and enchanting surroundings, Kanha is the forest which possesses the capacity to please everyone even if you don’t sight the tiger!!

  1. Day1 Pune to Nagpur

    Depart from Pune Railway Station by boarding Pune-Nagpur Garibrath 3 AC at 17:40 hrs.

  2. Day2 Nagpur to Kanha

    Reach Nagpur by 09:15 hrs and leave for Kanha (Breakfast to be taken in train). Lunch en-route. Reach Kanha by 16.00 hrs.
    Upon arrival, check-in and freshen up. An introductory session on Kanha will be conducted by experts from GO WILD. Dinner at 20:30 hrs, leisure time and off to bed.

  3. Day3 Kanha

    Wake-up call at 04.00 hrs, today we start for our first Jungle safari, by gypsy. Enjoy and explore the forest. Morning safari is of about 5 hour’s duration. Return to the campsite by 11.00 hrs, Leisure time where we share our jungle experiences, followed by lunch at 13.00 hrs.
    Leave for the evening safari by gypsy at 14:30 hrs and return by 18.00 hrs. Free-time till 19.00 hrs after which our volunteers will conduct nature-games and interactive sessions on the day’s sightings. Off to bed after a delightful dinner.

  4. Day4 Kanha

    Wake-up call at 04.00 hrs. The bliss continues as we leave for an early morning safari. Return to the campsite by 11.00 hrs, relax. After lunch we go for another thrilling jungle safari. Dinner and campfire mark the end of the day.

  5. Day5 Kanha to Pune via Nagpur

    Wake-up call at 04.30 hrs, today’s morning safari marks the end of our safaris for this camp. After a fantastic and refreshing safari, get back to the resort and pack up for the return journey completely enthralled, and full of wild and happy memories.
    Lunch on the way to Nagpur. Reach Nagpur by 16:30 hrs. Depart for Pune by Garibrath 3 AC at 18.35 hrs.

  6. Day6 Pune

    Reach Pune by 09:30 hrs. This marks the end of a memorable camp.

Yes, flights can be opted thus saving one day at the start of the tour and the end; however certain flight timings do not coincide with the train timings; and thus the flight itinerary might make you compromise on the typical itinerary.

The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.

Safari vehicles as well as internal transit vehicles (such as SUVs) are usually shared between 6 people, unless indicated otherwise. Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle. Exclusive jeeps can be reserved by an group of people after paying a surcharge.(group size less than 6)

Open jeep safaris & even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a logn way in preventing any mishaps.

Apart from the stays in Forest Rest Houses; food menu is usually tailor made according to the group. Veg food is available at all locations, and Jain food can be arranged for if informed at the time of booking.
