Arrive at Amritsar by 12:30 hrs. Check-in at a hotel, freshen up and visit The Golden Temple. Have a traditional Punjabi dinner. Overnight stay in Amritsar. (230 km)
Amritsar - Patnitop
After an early morning hearty breakfast, leave for Patnitop via Udhampur (314 km). Lunch on the way. Reach Patnitop around 16.00 hrs, check-in in the hotel, freshen up, and explore the stunning hill station of Patnitop (2024m above sea level). Have a splendid dinner and off to bed. (314 km)
Patnitop - Srinagar
After early breakfast, leave for Srinagar, reach Srinagar at around 12.30 hrs, check-in at the hotel, have lunch, take rest or start exploring right away. Visit and enjoy the beauty of the Dal Lake where you can also opt for a Shikara ride. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (185 km)
Srinagar - Kargil
After breakfast leave for Kargil via Sonmarg and Drass. Sonmarg is a beautiful location for sightseeing. As Zojilla Pass has frequent traffic jam problems, we plan to go by this area as early as possible. At Drass we visit the beautiful Vijay smarak – War Memorial of the Kargil War. Lunch en-route, dinner and overnight at Kargil. (241 km total)
Kargil - Leh
After breakfast start for Leh. Enroute we visit Magnetic hill, Lamayuru Monastery (the oldest monastery in Ladakh). Lunch en-route to Leh. Reach Leh by 16.00 hrs. Check-in hotel, take rest or spend time shopping in the Tibetan markets of Leh. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.(174 km)
Leh - Hunder
After Breakfast leave for Nubra via Khardung La (alt: 18,380 ft). You can ride double humped camel, play in sand dunes or enjoy some cultural show in dunes. Dinner and camping overnight in Hunder (128 km)
Hunder - Leh
Take breakfast at the Camp. Then leave for Khardung La (alt:18,380ft).Visit Diksit Monastery and reach Leh by lunchtime. Check-in hotel, have lunch and rest. Dinner and overnight in Leh. (128 km)
Full day at leisure in Leh. You can visit the Shanti Stupa, Tibetan market etc. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Leh - Pangong
Take breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day excursion trip to the famous Pangong Lake located on the border of India and China en-route crossing the Chang-la pass. After sightseeing around the lake, dinner and overnight stay in camp at Pangong. (160km)
Pangong - Tso Moriri
After an early breakfast leave for Tso-Moriri through China border via Tsaka la. En-route lunch. Feast your eyes on the scenic beauty of the lake. Tso Moriri is also known for its avifauna & fauna. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel. (200 km)
Tso Morari - Jispa
Leave early morning from Tso-Moriri to Jispa via Moore Plains and Sarchu. The picturesque landscapes will leave you spellbound. Moore Plains and Sarchu are the essence of Ladakh’s beauty. Lunch on the way. Reach Jispa, rest, dinner and overnight stay in Jispa. (300 km)
Jispa - Manali
After breakfast leave for Manali via Rohtang pass (3989m above sea level). Rohtang is a famous tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh. Lunch at Rohtang pass. Post lunch leave for Manali, reach Manali at around 16.00 hrs. Check-in hotel and enjoy time for shopping and leisure. Dinner and overnight in Manali. (140 km)
Manali - Mandi
After breakfast visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Hot Water Springs and Temple. After lunch leave for Mandi. This road runs along the Beas river. Reach Mandi in time for dinner. Overnight stay at Mandi. (108 km)
Mandi - Chandigarh
After breakfast leave for Chandigarh. Lunch on the way and reach Chandigarh by 16.00 hrs and board respective flights. (184 km)

Yes, flights can be opted thus saving one day at the start of the tour and the end; however certain flight timings do not coincide with the train timings; and thus the flight itinerary might make you compromise on the typical itinerary.

Leh is a town in the Leh district. Famous for its scenic landscapes, the entire tour of Leh will take you through rocky mountains, famous passes and scenic views. Leh is also known for Buddhism and monasteries. Evenings in Leh can be spent shopping in the Tibetan market or simply enjoying hot drinks at cafes. Other destination on this tour will take you through cold deserts in Hunder & Pangong, which is a salt water lake amidst mountains.
The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
Winters in Leh which are from November end to Mid-March, the temperature dips to anywhere from -10 to -15 degrees at night. The roads during this season are blocked due to heavy snow fall and hence general tourism is not recommended during this time. The best time to visit Leh is after May till mid September. The snow slowly starts to melt and roads open. To travel throughout the Ladakh region it is advisable to travel from June till September end.
People who are well versed with driving a car and having a valid driving license can join this tour. Leh is situated on a higher altitude and hence acclimatization is most important. Any person who is healthy and fit can travel to Leh given that he/she follows our instructions before and during the tour.
In recent times 80% of the roads in Leh region are made up of tar and are double laned. The terrain at the high passes though is rough and dusty as it is covered with snow for 6 months of the year. One should remember that this an expedition and not a leisure trip and hence safety is of utmost importance.

Packing for a car expedition needs more gears and packing than that on a normal tour. We provide you with a detailed list of things to be carried before the tour which will help you to pack right before the expedition.
Network connectivity in Leh is only available for selective network companies (Airtel, BSNL, Jio). As per rules of Jammu and Kashmir only post paid connections are allowed here. Apart from this there is very less chance to get network connectivity at all the other places of sightseeing. ATMS’ are available in all the major villages as well as in Srinagar, Kargil and Leh.
Yes, it is very safe. Although Leh is situated near the border it has a strong army base. Tourism has rapidly developed in this area after 2013. The security and overall infrastructure compliments the tourism industry very well.
