In this era of modern education, many of us believe in experiential learning. This ancient forest definitely has the best of nature to offer! Once ruled by the Gond kings, Nagzira is located in the Gondia district of Maharashtra. It is said that there were once elephants (‘Nag’ means elephants in Sanskrit) found in this forest, which is how the name Nagzira came into being. Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is a ‘Green Oasis’ surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, picturesque landscape and rich biodiversity. A bird watcher’s paradise, Nagzira is a marvelous treasure house for reptiles and amphibians and endangered mammals like Panther, Small Indian Civet, Sloth bear, Wolf, Four Horned Antelope and the apex predator ‘Tiger’. Visit and lose yourself into the mystique surroundings of Nagzira! With our GW Photo Mentor leading this tour there would be endless photo opportunities, with insights into the art and science of photography. With interactive sessions both on and off the field, we aim at spreading awareness among the younger generations about nature & wildlife as they explore in nature.
