Panna National Park located in Panna and Chattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh is formally being renowned as the twenty-second tiger reserve of India and fifth in Madhya Pradesh. By covering an area of 542.67 sq km, Panna Reserve lies beside the areas of the Ken River at the central state of India, Madhya Pradesh at a distance of 57 km from Khajuraho, a world heritage center.
Ken River flows through this reserve and creates beautiful waterfalls on its way to the valley. The park has numerous sites of historical importance with stone paintings dating back to Neolithic era. The ideal home to Tigers, Panna is composed of deciduous forests to include other species like Indian Wolf, Four-horned Antelope, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Chinkara and Gharial.

  1. Day 1 Panna

    Campers should reach at the forest rest house in Panna for high tea. Check-in and get acquainted with the campsite. In the evening visit the Khajuraho Temple Complex which is world renowned for its architecture. Later get back to the resort, the Go Wild experts will conduct an introductory session and orientation about the forest. Spend the eve at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the forest rest house in Panna.

  2. Day 2 Panna

    Safari is an adventure that takes you to explore the unexplored trails and un-spoilt natural horizons. Morning safari is of about 5 hour’s duration. Return to the campsite by 11:00 hrs, Leisure time, followed by lunch at 13:00 hrs.

    Leave for the evening safari by gypsy at 14:30 hrs and return by 18:30 hrs. Off to bed after a delightful dinner.

  3. Day 3 Panna

    The bliss continues as we leave for an early morning safari. Return to the campsite by 11:00 hrs, relax and after lunch we again hop for another thrilling jungle safari. Off to bed after a delightful dinner.

  4. Day 4 Panna

    This would be our last day at Panna and after morning safari we will pack our bags and leave for our respective journeys back home with wild memories of a lifetime.

  1. What to expect when in Panna? 

    Panna is home to rich wildlife Tigers, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Sloth Bears are found here. The forest is also known for its rich avifauna with more than 200 bird species that are found here, they include Honey Buzzards, King Vultures, Indian Vultures, Crested Hawk Eagles etc.

  2. Is there a flight option to this location? 

    Yes, flights can be opted thus saving one day at the start of the tour and the end; however certain flight timings do not coincide with the train timings; and thus the flight itinerary might make you compromise on the typical itinerary.

  3. What is the usual sharing in vehicles & accommodation? 

    The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
    Safari vehicles as well as internal transit vehicles (such as SUVs) are usually shared between 6 people, unless indicated otherwise. Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle. Exclusive jeeps can be reserved by a group after paying a surcharge.(group size less than 6)

  4. Is it safe? 

    Open jeep safaris & even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps.

  5. How is the climate in Panna? 

    Temperatures in summers reach upto 40 degree Celsius and can get hot. Winters are very cold with temperatures dipping to 4 degrees Celsius. Traveling during both the seasons has its perks!

  6. Who all can be a part of this tour? 

    The jungle can be visited by anybody who is fond of wildlife or is a first timer. It is apt for anybody who wishes to experience this journey. Children of any age group, accompanied by adults can be a part of the safaris. For a detailed inquiry you can always ask our experts for advice.

    Apart from the season wise apparels, we recommend you to only wear comfortable clothes with colors that will go with the nature. Bright colors like red, orange, white, yellow etc are a strict no no. We will provide a detailed list of things to be carried before the tour.

  9. Can I get Veg/ Jain food? 

    Apart from the stays in Forest Rest Houses; food menu is usually tailor made according to the group. Veg food is available at all locations, and Jain food can be arranged for if informed at the time of booking.
