Panna National Park located in Panna and Chattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh is formally being renowned as the twenty-second tiger reserve of India and fifth in Madhya Pradesh. By covering an area of 542.67 sq km, Panna Reserve lies beside the areas of the Ken River at the central state of India, Madhya Pradesh at a distance of 57 km from Khajuraho, a world heritage center. Ken River flows through this reserve and creates beautiful waterfalls on its way to the valley. The park has numerous sites of historical importance with stone paintings dating back to Neolithic era. The ideal home to Tigers, Panna is composed of deciduous forests to include other species like Indian Wolf, Four-horned Antelope, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Chinkara and Gharial. - Day 1 Mumbai-Jabalpur
Leave from Pune early in the morning for Mumbai. Meet up in Mumbai at the CSTM Railway Station and board the Jabalpur bound Garibrath Express at 13:30 hrs. Overnight in train.
- Day 2 Jabalpur-Panna
Arrival at Jabalpur, after a hearty breakfast transfer to Panna. An introductory session on the forest will be conducted by the GW Mentors post lunch. Later enjoy a sumptuous meal before hitting the bed. Overnight at Panna.
- Day 3 Panna
Safari is an adventure that takes you to explore the unexplored trails and un-spoilt natural horizons. Morning safari is of about 5 hour’s duration. Return to the resort by 11:00 hrs, leisure time, followed by lunch at 13:00 hrs. Leave for the evening safari by gypsy at 14:30 hrs and return by 18:30 hrs. Enjoy sessions on wildlife photography as well as discussions about the day’s sightings. Off to bed after a delightful dinner.
- Day 4 Panna
Experiential learning is the need of the hour and whats better than learning in the laps of mother nature itself! The bliss continues as we leave for an early morning Pardhi Walk. Go Wild feels immensely proud to be associated with the Pardhi Community and is one of the proponent’s behind this initiative being launched in Panna. Return to the campsite by 11:00 hrs, relax and after lunch we hop for another thrilling jungle safari. Off to bed after a delightful dinner.
- Day 5 Panna-Jabalpur-Pune
This would be our last day at Panna and after morning safari we will pack our bags and leave for Jabalpur by AC vehicles. Board the Mumbai bound train at 19:30 hrs. Overnight train journey.
- Day 6 Mumbai
Arrival at Mumbai by noon and leave for your onward journey. The tour concludes with great wildlife memories.

- What to expect when in Panna?
Panna is home to rich wildlife Tigers, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Sloth Bears are found here. The forest is also known for its rich avifauna with more than 200 bird species that are found here, they include Honey Buzzards, King Vultures, Indian Vultures, Crested Hawk Eagles etc.
- Is there a flight option to this location?
Yes, flights can be opted thus saving one day at the start of the tour and the end; however certain flight timings do not coincide with the train timings; and thus the flight itinerary might make you compromise on the typical itinerary.

- What is the usual sharing in vehicles & accommodation?
The accommodations are always on quadruple sharing basis unless otherwise opted for.
Safari vehicles as well as internal transit vehicles (such as SUVs) are usually shared between 6 people, unless indicated otherwise. Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle. Exclusive jeeps can be reserved by a group after paying a surcharge.(group size less than 6)
- Is it safe?
Open jeep safaris & even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps. Each of our tour is accompanied by a lady volunteer. Daily SMS updates are also given to Parents/Guardians to keep them updated.
- How is the climate in Panna?
Temperatures in summers reach upto 40 degree Celsius and can get hot. Winters are very cold with temperatures dipping to 4 degrees Celsius. Traveling during both the seasons has its perks!

- What do I pack for my travel?
Apart from the season wise apparels, we recommend you to only wear comfortable clothes with colors that will go with the nature. Bright colors like red, orange, white, yellow etc are a strict no no. We will provide a detailed list of things to be carried before the tour.
- Can I get Veg/ Jain food?
Apart from the stays in Forest Rest Houses; food menu is usually tailor made according to the group. Veg food is available at all locations, and Jain food can be arranged for if informed at the time of booking.
- What is the usual batch size?
Usually the batch size varies from 10-16 campers per batch. With small batches and personal attention to every camper we are all set to provide you with the best experience!
