Ranthambore National Park is located in the Sawai Madhopur District of southeastern Rajasthan, approx. 130 Km. away from Jaipur. Formerly, a major hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, this forest now attracts wildlife tourists and photographers, because of its huge variety of birds, animals and reptiles. The most attractive feature of this forest is the diversity of terrain and abundance of water bodies. Tigers are a plenty here which boosts your chances of sighting them. With two full day safaris along with a morning safari in the core zone in this Tiger Haven, we offer you the best opportunity to sight and photograph these majestic beasts. - Day 1 Jaipur-Ranthambore
Arrival at Jaipur in the morning. We will then proceed for Ranthambore in AC Vehicles (SUVs) and reach in time for lunch where we will conduct a quick introductory session and orientation about the forest. In the evening the GW Photo Mentor will conduct a session on Photography Essentials, some quick tips and insights into the art and science of photography which will help the participants’ over time. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Overnight stay at the resort in Ranthambore.
- Day 2 and 3 Ranthambore
Over the next 2 days, we will enjoy our Full Day Safaris in the National Park. We would enter the park at the crack of dawn in search of opportunities to photograph the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers and the diverse wildlife which is found in abundance at the National Park.
The GW Photo Mentor would be mentoring the participants over these 2 days, both on and off the field and would help participants to make the most out of the available opportunities. With the 2 Full Day Safaris and no zone restrictions along with drivers and guides trained to position vehicles best suited for photography we would possibly have many opportunities to photograph the rich wildlife biodiversity here.
In the evenings the GW Photo Mentor would conduct review sessions based on the day to day experiences, may it be related to matters of photography, post processing or even natural history we are here to listen all your doubts and provide the best solutions possible!
- Day 4 Ranthambore-Jaipur
Today would be our last day at Ranthambore. We will rise at the crack of dawn and leave for an early morning safari. After having a hearty breakfast, we will leave for Jaipur to board the respective flights back home with wild memories that we would cherish forever.

- What to expect when in Ranthambore Photo Tour?
The Bengal Tiger is the main attraction here and this forest has been home to some famous Tigers in India. - What is the usual sharing in vehicles & accommodation?
The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle facility. You will share your vehicle with 2 other participants and the GW Photo Mentor leading the tour.
- Is it safe?
Open jeep safaris & even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps.
- How is the climate in Ranthambore?
Summers in Ranthambore are extreme hot. The temperatures rise upto 45 – 46 degrees Celsius. Winters on other hand are very cold and chilly. Traveling during both the seasons has its perks!
- Who all can be a part of this tour?
The jungle can be visited by anybody who is fond of wildlife and photographing it. It is apt for beginners and amateur photographers, as the tour can provide you with an excellent learning opportunity with detailed insights and tips based on wildlife photography. - What do I pack for my travel?
Apart from the season wise apparels, we recommend you to only wear comfortable clothes with colors that will go with the nature. Bright colors like red, orange, white, yellow etc are a strict no no. We will provide a detailed list of things to be carried before the tour. For any queries regarding photography equipment that needs to be carried along, you can always ask our experts for advice.
- Can I get Veg/ Jain food?
Apart from the stays in Forest Rest Houses; food menu is usually tailor made according to the group. Veg food is available at all locations, and Jain food can be arranged for if informed at the time of booking.
