Sunderbans National Park is located at the South Eastern tip of the 24 Paraganas District in the state of West Bengal, and has got it’s name from one of the mangrove plants found there, known as Sundari (Heriteria minor). Sunderbans, a UNESCO world heritage site and the single largest block of halophytic mangrove in the world, is located in the countries of India and Bangladesh. Housing one of the largest populations of the Tiger anywhere in the wild, Sunderbans is a good opportunity to catch a glimpse of these majestic cats.
The sight of a Royal Bengal Tiger peeping through the mangroves can send chills down your spine. The mysterious estuarine water world of the Sunderbans, houses a number of other species of animals – Fishing Cats, Jungle Cats, Macaques, Deer and many more.

Board the flight to Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata latest by 1:30 hrs. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Some time to rest. Later, we hop on to explore the “City of Joy”. Travel through the roads of Kolkata and see the Howrah Bridge, Victoria Palace (photo-stop), Kali Mata Mandir. After spending a fun packed day, we return back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Today we start our Sunderban adventure after breakfast. In the journey of 3 hrs you come across the lifestyle of people living in the villages of West Bengal. Reach the Godkhali Port from where you depart for the journey into the wild. Reach the hotel for lunch. Post lunch leave for a boat ride into the waters of Sunderbans. Visit the sun-set point in the evening (subject to time availability). Return to the resort in the evening. Dinner and night halt at forest resort.
Leave for your first jungle safari. Sunderbans are the largest estuarine mangrove ecosystem in the world. We venture deep into the land of mangroves and tigers, to unravel the mysteries of Sunderbans (by boat). Spend the entire day on boat. Sunderban is a home to various kinds of birds and mammals. Enjoy your breakfast and lunch on board. Return by evening. Dinner and night halt at forest resort.
By now, you must be deeply in love with the mystical Sunderbans. Today, we again venture in the forests and explore the beauty of Bengal. Return to the resort. Enjoy a cultural show put up by the locals of the village. Dinner and night halt at the forest Resort.
Early morning, we opt for another boat Safari. After a thrilling boat experience, we return back to the hotel. Post lunch/brunch, we depart to Kolkata. Later board the flight back home. Thus a wonderful journey concludes.

Being a Tiger Reserve, one has to be lucky enough to find a tiger walking through the marshy land or swimming near the banks of the river. Some unique wildlife that can be seen here is the Monitor Lizards, Crocodiles, Jungle Cats etc. Aquatic birds are found in plenty and Sunderbans is very famous for the various types of kingfishers found here. The waters are blessed with wealthy aquatic life and are home to Irrawaddy Dolphins. One can also find variety of fish, crabs and mudskippers here. Sunderban is all about its mangroves. Spread across acres of lands, the mangroves is an integral part and helps in sustaining the overall ecosystem.
The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
The timings for the full day boat safaris are from 06.00 AM in the morning to 06.00 PM in the evening, breakfast and snacks are provided on the boat itself.
The boat safaris and even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps.
The temperature in summer reaches to 42 degrees Celsius and is humid and hot. While that in winters, it is pleasant throughout the day and gets chilly in the evening. It is advisable to visit Sunderbans in the winters due to good climate and better chances of seeing wildlife.
