Straddling the Equator, and stretching from the Indian Ocean, spread in the Great Rift Valley and beyond, Kenya is a country of huge variety and exceptional beauty. In fact, the name Kenya has become synonymous with the great wilds of Africa but they represent far more than you would expect, protecting and showcasing a broad range of habitats and species.
This thrilling safari takes you into different reserves of Kenya. Samburu, lying within the semi-desert area of Kenya’s northern frontier, is a heaven for viewing Africa’s lesser-known mammals!
And, last but not the least, this safari takes you to the world famous open plains of Masai Mara, renowned for the Big 5! The Masai Mara National Reserve is conceivably Kenya’s prime wilderness spot.

A warm welcome awaits you upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our GW Guide thereafter you will drive to the beautiful Mountain Range in the central highlands and proceed to The Ark Forest Lodge with an en route game drive to see Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Black Leopard and the beautiful but elusive Bongo Antelope. Dinner and Overnight at the Ark Forest Lodge.
After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for the North, through to the Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at Lodge. After a lovely lunch we will then proceed for an afternoon game drive where we will see animals such as the Reticulated Giraffe, the Pin Stripped Gravy Zebra, the Gerenuk, the Blue Necked Somali Ostrich, Elephants, Leopards and The Black Maned Lions. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.
The pre-breakfast game drive followed by a hearty breakfast thereafter morning at leisure to enjoy the facilities offered by the lodge. After a lovely lunch, you will depart for an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Lodge.
The pre-breakfast game drive followed by breakfast around 9.00 hrs. After a hearty breakfast, you will proceed north of Kenya and over the Equator where we will have a photo stop. Thereafter we proceed to the Sweetwaters Tented Camp, home of the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we will enjoy a lovely game drive. We will see Lion, Elephant, Buffalo and many other plains game. Dinner at the Camp followed by an optional Night Game drive. Overnight at the Camp.
After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha which is the magnificent lake in the Great Rift Valley and it’s also a home to 400 species of birds. After check-in, take the boat ride on the lake to see Hippos and bird life. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
After breakfast, we will depart for the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve. The enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great Wildebeest migrations and its home for the big five Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Arrive in time for lunch at Lodge. After a lovely lunch now we will depart for an afternoon game drive to see the game of Savanna. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
A relaxed rise followed by a hearty breakfast and thereafter a full day game drive with picnic lunch to see the varied game of the Masai Mara. This region is Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant). Optional visit to a local Masai village. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge.
After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for Nairobi. Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Resort overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. The Resort comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. There is also a ground level bunker – the perfect hideout for the discerning photographer. With 6 Single Rooms, 37 Twin Rooms, 10 Double Rooms, and 7 Triple Rooms, the resort serves as one of the best places to accommodate you. The restaurant offers excellent cuisine for dinner and breakfast, either as a buffet or set menu, depending on the number of guests. The food is very fresh with organic vegetables and spices picked from the Aberdare Country Club gardens accompanied by fruit are brought in daily from the village.
Elephant Bedroom Camp
This small and exclusive luxury safari camp is located within the Samburu National Reserve right on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. The safari camp has a lovely setting amongst the many varieties of indigenous trees and shrubs. The 12 spacious tents have rustic and colourful African touches, offering all the comforts; including a private plunge pool on the deck. With just 12 luxury tents and attractive public areas – including elegant lounge and dining tents – The safari camp provides the perfect accommodation for any Samburu safari. The food and service at the Camp are of a high standard. A generous breakfast and a three course lunch are served outside when possible. The four course evening meal is either taken by candle-light in the open-front dining area or al fresco. With simplistic luxury, elegance and style the camp provides an astonishing safari experience.
Sweetwaters Serena Camp
Located within the sprawling Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most noteworthy conservancies and home to the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), The Camp offers a holiday experience unlike any other. Tucked inside the landscaped grounds and accessible via winding stone pathways, the resort’s accommodation offers an elegant retreat amid the breath-taking natural beauty of Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The 56 stylishly appointed tents are designed with charming thatched roofs, solid floors and canvas interiors. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the dining area welcomes you with flavourful, locally sourced fare, providing a wide range of global cuisines.
Situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake whose surface area depends on the rainfall, the resort is 125 kms from Nairobi. Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to our guests but also for the wild with giraffes, waterbucks, monkeys being some of the regular visitors. The buildings in the property have been positioned carefully with conscientious care for the environment. Accommodation is in the form of 21 double storey cottages which have been designed indigenously. A section of the circular lounge roof gently curves away to shelter the dining room with its huge chandeliers and a large, centrally located fireplace. An excellent food range between Continental, Swahili (Kenya Coast), and Mediterranean cuisines, often with a deliciously subtle fusion of all three disciplines is available.
Sarova Mara Game Camp
Located around 230 km from Nairobi, in the Masai Mara National Reserve the camp is situated right in the centre of the migration path. The rolling plains around the camp are teeming with wildebeest, gazelles and zebras during the migration months. By virtue of its location and layout, the camp offers an unparalleled plethora of activities and experiences. Accommodation is provided in spacious luxurious “tents” attractively constructed in light beige canvas with large “windows”, wooden flooring and a permanent roof. The emphasis is on tasteful comfort with a smooth blend of the beautiful nature that makes the Mara. The Camp has built a solid reputation for producing inspiring gourmet meals in a remote and wild setting. - Are there any prerequisites for travelling to Kenya?
Yes, apart from having the Visa, vaccination for Yellow Fever and Adult Polio is mandatory for travelling to Kenya. These vaccinations are mandatory in many countries including India.
- What is the usual sharing in vehicles & accommodation?
The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
Open Landcruiser Jeeps (non AC) are allotted for the safaris, with window seats and pop-up roof for game viewing. Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle.
- Is it safe?
Open jeep safaris & even nature trails conducted by us follow the highest safety standards, and we take all necessary precautions involved. We respect the wild animals and their comfort, and keep adequate distance while photographing them. However its worthy of noting, that being cautious goes a long way in preventing any mishaps.
- How is the climate in Kenya?
As Kenya is quite close to the equator, it does not experience a real summer or winter. Throughout the year it is pleasant with temperatures ranging from 20 – 28 degrees Celsius.
- Who all can be a part of this tour?
Anybody who wishes to see the African Jungles, photograph the exclusive wildlife or anyone who simply wishes to enjoy the luxury which Kenya offers can book with us! - What do I pack for my travel?
We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes with colors that will go with the nature. Avoid bright colored clothing. A sun cap / hat along with a warm jacket or sweater is a must. We will provide a detailed list of things to be carried before the tour.
- Can I get Veg/ Jain food?
Apart from the stays in Forest Rest Houses; food menu is usually tailor made according to the group. Veg food is available at all locations, and Jain food can be arranged for if informed at the time of booking.
