Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The city is located in the southernmost part of Rajasthan and is surrounded by Aravali Range, which separates it from the Thar Desert. It is popularly known as the “City of Lakes” because of its sophisticated lake system, it has seven lakes surrounding the city which host a rich diversity of avifauna. The city turns into a bird watching paradise in winters with more than 150 migratory bird species visiting these water bodies. One can see birds like Greater Crested Grebes, Eurasian Wigeons, Tufted Ducks, Northern Shovellers, Pintails, Gadwalls, Gargneys, Common Teals, Bar Headed Geese, Greylag Geese, Common Pochards, Ferruginious Pochards, Marsh Harriers, Common Cranes, Greater Flamingos, Cotton Pygmy Geese, Sarus Cranes, Pheasant Tailed Jacanas and much more!

- Day 1 Udaipur
Board the flight for Udaipur and reach there by 06:00 hrs. On reaching Udaipur we will leave for our first birding session in the morning. Post birding session we will check in to the hotel. A sumptuous lunch followed by time to rest. We will leave for another birding session in the evening. The GW Experts would conduct an orientation about the biome post the session. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
- Day 2 Udaipur
Today we will enjoy morning and evening birding sessions around the major lakes in Udaipur. The tour being led by a GW Birding Mentor assures great birding and photographic opportunities. With sessions on bird identification and bird photography we are all set to provide you with expertise on and off the field. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner inclusive.
- Day 3 Udaipur
We will enjoy a birding session in the morning. Later drop at the airport to board the flight back home with wild memories of a lifetime!

- Is there a train option to this location?

The accommodations are always on double sharing basis unless otherwise opted for. Single sharing basis attracts an additional nominal fee, while triple sharing allows you to be eligible for a small discount.
Safari vehicles as well as internal transit vehicles (such as SUVs) are usually shared between 6 people, unless indicated otherwise. Specific Photography Mentoring Tours have 4-in-a-vehicle. Exclusive jeeps can be reserved by a group after paying a surcharge.(group size less than 6)
